Practical Information

Talks will start on Thursday 23rd at 9.00 and will end on Friday 24th at 18.20.
The lunches on Thursday and Friday will be provided for free to all participants.

Venue

The workhop will take place at the Grand Hotel Terminus in central Bergen (Map).

• We have a negociated price for all participants who wish to stay in the hotel of the workshop. The price is 813 NOK for a single room for 1 person (standard room, including breakfast) and 1013 NOK for a double room for 2 persons. To get this rate when you book, say that you come to a workshop organized by the University of Bergen (UiB).

• There are a number of other possibilities to stay in Bergen, which are almost all by walking distance from the hotel of the workshop.

Coming to the Grand Hotel Terminus

• Arriving by plane
  Appart from taxi, there are two possibilities to come from Bergen Flesland airport to the hotel of the workshop:
  • With the tram (Bybanen): take it, there is only one possible direction as the airport is one terminus, and go down at "Nonneseter", one stop before the other terminus. The ticket price is 38 NOK (choose the "one zone" ticket), you can buy it from the ticket machines that are on the track. When you exit the tram at Nonneseter, you face the train station. Turn around it clockwise or just cross the building by the way inside. The Grand Hotel Terminus is on the other side of the train station in Zander Kaaes gate.
  • With the shuttle bus (flybussen): go down at the bus station, first stop on its way (after 20 min driving). Then, walk to Grand Terminus Hotel. The bus station is on one side of the train station, the hotel of the workshop is on the other side. You need to first cross the bus station, then cross the train station. The ticket price for the shuttle bus is 115 NOK if you buy it from the machine just outside of the bus at the airport, it is 30 NOK higher if you buy it from the driver inside the bus.
• Arriving by train
  Exit the train station on your right hand side when coming from the tracks, cross the street (Zander Kaaes gate), you are arrived!
• Arriving by car
